When Should You NOT Go to the Doctor? COVID-19 Considerations
It can be hard to know what the right thing to do is if you’re feeling sick or having pain during this time of the Coronavirus.
On one hand, you may have more time than ever before to focus on caring for yourself and addressing things you’ve put off.
On the other hand, you may be completely overwhelmed with trying to figure out how to work from home or care for your kids full time, or both.
Either option is valid.
As we settle into what looks like a longer term situation than originally anticipated, I would like to make one request.
Please do not ignore whatever has been going on for so long, or until you are so miserable, that it is impossible to ignore.
Ok, a second request.
Try to address it with telehealth first - medicine is more than the hands of the doctor. And right now, those hands are seeing a lot more people in an office than you are at your house.
Quarantine doesn’t mean you are alone without options. The options may just be new.
If the thing you can’t ignore anymore is pelvic pain, painful intercourse, or urinary leakage, please reach out.
