What do Hormones Have to Do with Libido?

Hormones and Sex Drive - how are they connected?

Hormones (testosterone and estrogen among them) greatly impact our sex drive or libido.

They are impacted by stress, sleep, inflammation, diet, and emotional health, among other things.

In this video we talk about specific things that act as hormone interrupters, including synthetic fragrances and what is in our water.

We also talk about how to best support ourselves to make it possible for us to want to have sex, and talk about what is and isn’t normal in terms of libido.

We talk about stress and what it means to our system so we can “hack” our response.

I also put Dr. Kelsey Asplin on the spot at the end and asked her what she thought the side effects of increased home exercise and caloric restriction are on our hormones and stress at this time.

Listen to the conversation I had with Dr. Kelsey Asplin - a Naturopathic Doctor in Denver, CO.

** “biological female” in this context was intended to mean “individual with an estrogen dominant hormonal system”
